How to set running goals with Higher Ground Running?

Updated: May 23, 2019

When it comes to running, goal settingis very important, and it’s necessary to dream big but stay realistic. Running is a sport that can take you all around the world, and allow for you to meet people and make friendships that will last a lifetime. The opportunities are endless when it comes to running in beautiful places, and who knows? Because you chose to run a race through Martha’s Vineyard in Cape Cod, you might find yourself achieving something that is far past your original goal .Goal setting should be fun!

As runners, we tend to become greedy in believing how much we think we can handle. Some think they can run 100 miles a week while working a 40-60-hour job, then perform intense workouts weekly! This is not realistic for everyone, unless you want to end up injured or burnt out (running slang for sick of running.) But don’t worry, WE WILL NOT LOSE HOPE! Since runners tend to think they are limitless, how about we learn to set realistic goals as a Higher Ground Runner?
